Tired of the corporate "rat-race" my wife and I decided in 2003 to "take the plunge" and purchased an acreage with the intent of living the rural life. With this in mind and limited acres we needed cattle that were efficient, easy on equipment and easy to handle. We decided on miniature cattle. We researched the available breeds, looking for efficient feed conversion rates, calving ease and a breed that people would associate with when it came time to sell seed stock or meat. Impressed with the research and genetic breeding that went into the lowline cattle we settled on this "miniature" version of "Black Angus". In early 2004 the first cattle were purchased and after several breeding seasons we have built the herd to the point where we can sell seed stock and meat animals. Below are listed the hi-lites of the lowline breed and of our cattle program.
